Story Cubes from "Read Write Think"

'Cube Creator' is an interactive tool that helps students identify and summarize key elements.Teachers can use it in the classroom as a prewriting or postreading activity.
First, students select the type of cube they would like to make by clicking one of the cubes on the site. There are also planning sheets for writing biographies, mysteries, short stories, and a blank template which can be customized.

Then, they complete the online template.

After saving the cubes, students can share their final drafts and print them with lines for cutting and folding to create actual cubes.
To Get Started, visit 'Read Write Think' website.
